• Accountable for all category sourcing activities, ensuring that maximum added value is derived from the sourcing processes adopted and that all targets are met or exceeded.• Managing the dependencies between sourcing and relevant business areas to ensure effective handovers from clients.• Creating and maintaining supplier risk profiles and making an effective contribution to overall risk. • Establishing potential savings benefit for target clients.• Working with account teams to ensure that savings targets are met or exceeded in nominated accounts.• Taking relevant products and services to the supply market (utilising all relevant procurement tools, eg e-auction etc) to negotiate contracts with approved vendors.• Implementing the transfer of products and services from incumbent suppliers to new vendors.• Assessing how relevant productservice lines can be utilised by clients to support achievement of client broad commercial objectives.• Providing knowledge on all bought-in products and services to account teams and associated clients to ensure they have a well-informed understanding of the potential value of, in particular, emerging technologies.• Understanding client accounts and working with account teams and clients to design, develop and deliver solutions that drive down process and product costs whilst enhancing effectiveness of communication.• Managing best practice vendor selection and procurement process across all account teams.• Supporting Operations and Business development with insight and creative solutions when crafting bid responses.• Supporting Category Management response in developing and delivering proposals and presentations outlining value to target clients of company’s procurement management strategy.• Introduction and implementation of e-procurement system “Immedia” to the vendors.Responding to the European Purchasing Director.
