“Too many consulting companies see "lean" as a goal in itself. I am seeing it as a journey. Many consultants are seeing Lean as tools package, I believe that is a way of thinking.
As for me, Lean is about common goals and shared vision, is about team and focused actions, is continuous improvement culture and leadership. Is about moving power from management to the shopfloor, engaging peoples continuously focusing on eliminating wastes. Is about today being better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.
What I want to offer is a holistic view where the current situation and goals are clear and where the tools from lean and other effective methods are selected and implemented thoughtfully.”
